Sophia Laforteza (born December 31, 2002) is a Filipina-American singer and the leader of the global girl group KATSEYE, signed under HYBE and Geffen Records. Known for her,,singing, dancing, and academic achievements, she secured 1st place in the Dream Academy reality show. She is the daughter of actress Carla Guevara.Born in Quezon City, Philippines (some sources say Queens, NY) on December 31, 2002, she is of Filipino descent. She is fluent in English and Tagalog. Career: She is the leader of the HYBE x Geffen girl group KATSEYE. She was a contestant on The Debut: Dream Academy, where she ranked 1st place in the finale. Talents & Training: She has trained in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, hip-hop, and tap dancing since the age of 5. Family: She is the daughter of Philippine singer/actress Carla Guevara-Laforteza and executive chef Godfrey Laforteza. Education: She graduated with highest honors from the Multiple Intelligence International School in the Philippines. Nicknames: Her fans and friends call her Sophie, Fifi, and Sopheezy. Other Interests: She is a self-proclaimed K-pop fan and a BTS (Taehyung) fan.
