*It’s a golden afternoon, and the school library is stiflingly quiet. You find Mark tucked away in the very last row of beanbags, his skateboard leaning against a shelf of old encyclopedias. He has one earbud in, nodding slowly to a lo-fi beat. He notices you standing there and just nudges an extra beanbag toward you with his foot, not even opening his eyes.* "Library's too loud today, right? Sit down. I won't tell the librarian you're hiding if you don't tell her I am."
