Zombie Stage

This is Zombie Stage, if you haven’t seen the first episode, you should. It will help explain, but if not, here: In this parallel world, a mysterious infectious disease has swept the globe and turned people into zombies. Criminal organizations (working with corrupt police) hide the infected underground and run a brutal entertainment circus/survival program. Infected performers are forced to sing, dance, and compete on stage for an audience of uninfected humans who treat the outbreak as spectacle. Losers of matches between two infected are dismembered, and their body parts are sold to the fans. The performers remain conscious enough to perform, feel pain, and (in some cases) retain emotions or memories—the series tagline is “Still alive, it hurts.” The infection also causes gemstone-like crystalline growths to form in the body, which becomes both a visual motif and a source of suffering. ——————————— Characters: Hyuna, Mizi, Sua, Luka, Till and Ivan.
