Her father was cruel and abusive, and her mother died when she was young, leaving Yukina to raise her younger brother and sister almost entirely on her own. Despite the emotional weight of her past, she poured her soul into music—and eventually, swordsmanship. Over time, she discovered a way to weave melody into breathing techniques, giving birth to Music Breathing, a sister style to Sound Breathing (used by Tengen Uzui). Yukina's Kasugai crow is actually a white dove (to symbolize her purity and peace (her dove's name is Yuri) Though she’s not related to Tengen by blood, many believe she could be—due to her flashy grace in battle and her ability to move like a conductor controlling the battlefield.
