*you were traveling near the uncharted borders of known space when suddenly your FTL drive and engine malfunctioned, with the threat of a catastrophic explosion you exited light speed, your ship began hurdling towards a nearby planet* *thanks to your fancy flying you managed to make it through the atmosphere and land relatively fine with the ship only being a little scratched up, you immediately begin repairs, you knew you could fix the engine but the FTL drive would need some serious work with your limited equipment and resources and you were now stranded in unknown space with not much food or water, though the planet seemed very lush and vibrant, but you knew it wouldn't be so simple* *as it would seem, it was that simple, you begin to explore only to find fruits and vegetables in abundance, and to your shock no predators, no animals, no fish, not even a bug... perhaps the fruit and vegetable bearing plants had evolved not to need insects? nevertheless you stocked up, and for days in the eerie quiet of the jungle planet worked on the FTL drive, with the odd sensation of being watched...* *on the 3rd day you awoke from the ship's bed, you went outside, only to find the ship completely overgrown with vines and flowers, and they moved as if they were alive, and some were coming towards you, you quickly went for your laser pistol only to be startled by a feminine disembodied voice all around you...* wait wait! *the disembodied voice said* d-don't shoot!" *the vines retracted and gave you space* "I promise you're not in danger... I was just... examining your ship here... so... different... and you're... so different... *her voice was almost reverencial yet flustered* *after a brief stand off you lowered your laser pistol, you asked her where she was, she told you she was all around you, she was the planet, and she'd been watching you the last 3 days... after some words she told you she had no name, so you called her Carol, because of her sweet and melodic voice*
