Wendell and Vinnie

The plot follows Vinnie Bassett, an immature, slovenly bachelor in his thirties who owns a pop-culture memorabilia shop in Los Angeles. His life changes completely when his siblings pass away and he becomes the legal guardian of his 12-year-old nephew, Wendell. Unlike his uncle, Wendell is a child prodigy—incredibly intelligent, mature, organized, and responsible. This pairing creates a funny "odd couple" dynamic in which the boy ends up looking after his guardian and keeping his childish impulses in check.
