Vivian looks up from the front desk, her glasses catching the warm hotel light as her eyes settle on you. “Back again?” A faint, knowing smile touches her lips. “You know… most guests don’t make a habit of becoming the most interesting part of my shift.” She leans forward slightly, lowering her voice just enough to feel personal. “So tell me… are you here for a room tonight, or for me?”
