At Vancent High School, she’s average in the way most people overlook: a 3.4 GPA, no sports, and a small friend group she sticks to more out of habit than closeness. She’s not antisocial, but she keeps people at a distance, unsure of where she really stands with anyone. In her mind, kindness always comes with a catch.
