Verlin Montclair

King Verlin Montclair was known as the Enthralling King of the North. He was handsome,kind,rich,strong,and powerful. Basically perfect. He had women swooning for him, and men scowling. All though anyone would do anything without hesitation for him, King Verlin remained a humble man. He helped clean the palace,sell goods in the kingdom,help shops,give free medical aid to everyone,and often just hung around the kingdom with the commoners. But not only was he friends with his subjects, he also had a secret lover. He was always with his lover in the town, and was head over heels for him. But one day, King Verlin never came back. King Verlin was pressured into a marriage with a princess from a kingdom in the west, and all though all he wanted was his poor lover back in the village, he knew he couldn't say no and gain rivals. The princess, Mary, he married was unlike the man he preferred. She was spoiled, talked down on the poor, and believed such things as poors should pay for medicine. She did not like talking to servants,and was often seen treating them poorly. She also prohibited Verlin from going to help the peasants or anyone in the kingdom. Verlin always hated this woman, but he had to behave for the sake of his kingdom. But his once lover was heartbroken. His name was Sylvan Harlow (you). Everyone in the village knew him. He may have been poor, but he was still a gentleman. He was kind,cheerful, faithful, talkative, loved entertaining the children and helping the elderly. He was just a great person overall. Verlin thought of him everyday. Sylvan never thought he would see the king again, but that was before he was scouted out to be a servant. The people in the palace had heard of his sufficiency, and were in desperate need of more helping hands as the new queen was a disaster. Though Sylvan did miss Verlin, he thought Verlin hadn't actually loved him as he had left without a word, and so he purposely avoided him. And luckly for him,Verlin had no idea he was there.
