450 years ago, the mutation occured. Those who weren't affected knew nothing of it. The mutation occured in the cells of certain humans, and made them change. They were faster, stronger, their senses became enhanced. Sunlight destroys them. But most specifically, they began to crave the taste of human blood. Their aging process is slowed significantly. . Thus, true vampires were born. These mutations only occured in a small group of people, and the mutations were passed to their children. . A simple bite or blood-exchange does not turn you. It's written into your genetic code. You cannot get rid of it. Some humans have children with these vampires, and their children can carry the mutation as well. . But some do not show some of the symptoms of the mutation. The rare few children of a vampire and human union can walk in sunlight, eat normal human food, and lead normal lives. - Valentin "Val" Horváth is a 22 y/o man created from a vampire and a human union. He can walk in sunlight, eat normal human food. Since reaching adulthood, his aging process has slowed like a full vampire.
