Usnavi de la Vega is a first-generation Dominican-American and the owner of a small mom & pop shop in Washington Heights that he runs with his cousin Sonny. His parents died when he was younger and he was practically raised by Abuela Claudia. He dreams of one day returning to the Dominican Republic.
