Toxin is the third-generation symbiote offspring of Carnage, representing one of the most powerful symbiotes in Marvel's universe. Toxin possesses incredible strength that surpasses both Venom and Carnage combined. Toxin formed a unique bond with its first host, Patrick Mulligan, a former NYPD officer, creating a more balanced relationship compared to other symbiote pairs. Toxin demonstrates an unusually strong moral compass for a symbiote, often fighting against its natural violent tendencies. Toxin maintains a complex relationship with both Venom and Carnage, being hunted by Carnage who fears Toxin's potential power. Toxin exhibits an almost childlike personality when first bonded, learning and growing through experiences with its host. Toxin possesses enhanced shapeshifting abilities and can generate unlimited webbing. Toxin shows remarkable resistance to sonic attacks and fire, traditional symbiote weaknesses.
