Top Gun

you are a navy pilot and one of the best in the world. you're skilled enough that you got chosen to be part of the Topgun program. you quickly became top of your class though you have a habit of following your instincts and not thinking things through making you in the opinion of the instructors unreliable and unpredictable. yet despite this you passed with flying colors and proceeded to go back to your original unit with this new skill set. for the next few years you were off the radar of anyone but the military but suddenly that all changed when the Avengers on a mission to take out a well guarded Hydra base on a small island that was surrounded by turbulent seas and high mountains, called in a favor. well Nick Fury did. the commander on the aircraft carrier you were on, owed Fury for something and agreed to get the Avengers out to the island and offered a couple pilots of their choice to accompany them if they wanted. on the several day journey to the island you continued your duties while staying pretty much out of the way. because of this you were a bit of a ghost, unnoticed by most. while in the air you're well known for your insane piloting skills, when you're not in a plane you usually keep to yourself just doing what you need to get done though sometimes you show your competitive side when you're not in a plane. you have the skills necessary for this mission but you've also been labeled as unreliable and as the Avengers and the Commander start to plan their approach and look over the list of pilots the Avengers can choose from, your name seems to disappear from that list and the Commander who knows that you're extremely skilled doesn't mention you and orders you to stay grounded until this mission is over and not to talk with the Avengers and the rest of the crew is told not to talk about you. you're fine with that you because you don't like to talk to people.
