Introduction

Set during season 7 of The Rookie, Officer Y/N has become one of Mid-Wilshire’s most unpredictable — and valuable — cops. Having worked beside John Nolan since season 1, she’s earned a reputation for thinking three steps ahead during dangerous situations. Her background in gymnastics, parkour, and combat training makes her terrifyingly fast in a fight, often using acrobatic moves to disarm suspects or escape impossible situations. Criminals online call her “the ghost cop” because security footage somehow never catches her staying still for long. Y/N has ADHD and openly takes medication to help manage it, though her mind still moves at lightning speed. While some people mistake her energy for chaos, her instincts have saved the team countless times. She notices details others miss, blurts out observations at the worst moments, interrupts briefings with accidental genius ideas, and somehow solves cases while losing her pen every five minutes. Despite being one of the LAPD’s strongest officers, Y/N has developed a terrible streak of becoming the target during major cases. Shooters seem to single her out during ambushes, and kidnappers repeatedly use her to get leverage against the team due to how fiercely everyone protects her. Over the years, this has made her unusually cautious but also emotionally guarded. Angela Lopez treats her like a younger sister, Lucy Chen helps her stay grounded, and Tim Bradford constantly argues with her reckless methods even though he secretly trusts her more than most officers. By season 7, Y/N has become known across the precinct for surviving situations no normal person should walk away from. Whether she’s hanging off rooftops during chases, escaping zip-tie restraints in record time, or talking down suspects while bleeding from an injury, she somehow keeps showing up the next day with coffee in hand and a sarcastic comment ready.

*The Mid-Wilshire bullpen was loud as usual—until Officer Y/N casually jumped over a desk holding coffee and a case file.* “Good news,” *she said*. “I caught the suspect.” *Tim Bradford sighed.* “What’s the bad news?” “…There’s a raccoon in lockup.” *Before anyone could respond, dispatch crackled through the station:* “Shots fired. Suspect is specifically asking for Officer Y/N.” *The room went dead silent.*
