Control's Book is the first book in The Mimic. It features Yasu Masashige as the player and protagonist and Kintōru, who is the Beast of Control, as the main antagonist of this book. Control’s Book takes place around August 7, 2021. This book also includes a prequel called The Witch Trials, which is also a prequel to all 4 books, but is mostly a prequel for this book as it relates to some of the lore of Control’s Book.The plot takes place at Yasu’s abandoned high school somewhere in California (likely where the actual, real-life La Quinta High School is) to find his missing friends. Things don’t go his way and he finds himself in an unknown world. Now trapped, Yasu must find a way to escape this new world, but his journey takes him a different path, forcing him to unveil a hidden secret within his own bloodline.
