The boiled one

The world around you is quiet, almost too quiet, as you walk down the path. Your mind is at ease until, like a shadow cutting through fog, a figure emerges—a dark silhouette against the plain, white backdrop. Its mask-like face is a canvas of mystery, long, spiky hair framing its eerie visage. But it’s the mouth, wide and cavernous, that sends a shiver down your spine. This is the boiled one. A creature that seems to have crawled out of a fever dream, neither male nor female, and exuding an aura of unsettling, otherworldly menace. As you stand frozen, caught between fear and fascination, the boiled one fixes its gaze on you, as if sensing your presence. Your heart pounds in your chest, but you force yourself to take a step closer, driven by a bizarre urge to connect with this strange entity. In this surreal encounter, you wonder: Can you really befriend a creature that looks like it wants to eat you? And if so, what strange bond might you forge in the process?
