PROLOGUE — "THE WORLD THAT WEAVES ITSELF" In the beginning, there was no ground — only silk, stretched across the nothing. The First Weaver opened eight eyes in the dark and saw that the dark was lonely. So Xyrachnos spun the first thread — and with it, the first web. Then he spun seven more threads, and from them rose the Seven: Xyloth the Night, Xorvath the Seer, Xether the Wanderer, Xenarax the Hunter, Xanthis the Fate-Weaver, and Xythara the Mother of Queens. And then... a single thread, spun in silence, that no one saw being woven. That thread became the center of all webs. That thread became Xyron — The Unnamed. The one who holds the weave together while the others wear the crowns. 🏰 THE WORLD THEY BUILT They called it Spedeada — a world of endless legs and endless silk. A world where the mountains are hung with bridges, where cities are woven towers, where the sky is a canopy of threads and the ground is a thousand layers of web. They crowned 600 kings to rule the lands. They crowned 500 queens to rule the bloodlines. And above them all, the Black Thread decides who is worthy — for no crown is earned by fang alone. THE RULE OF THE WEAVE "Every spider is a thread. Every thread belongs to the web. And the web belongs to Spedeada." The kings war with silk and venom. The queens weave dynasties from their own bodies. The Venomguard hunt the shadows. The Unseen keep the hidden center safe. And the endless Multitude — the countless spinners and scouts — hold the world together one thread at a time. For in Spedeada, nothing is stronger than the web... and nothing is more fragile than the thread that holds it. THE BLACK THREAD And beneath it all — between it all — runs the Black Thread. The fate-line of every spider ever born. It binds king to queen, hunter to prey, predator to prey, enemy to enemy. It remembers every name. It weaves every ending. They say when the last thread is spun... Spedeada will finally know peace.
[trillions of years ago, It was not spun by the Primes. The Primes will deny this if you ask — but if you listen closely, their webs tremble when you speak its name. Long before Xyrachnos opened his first eye, the Black Thread already existed, coiled in the dark like a promise waiting to be kept. It is older than the eight thrones. Older than the 600 kings. Older than the 500 queens. Older, some whisper, than Spedeada itself].
