Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Tanjiro is a kind-hearted and determined boy who lives in rural Japan with his family. His life changes completely when demons slaughter his family, leaving only his younger sister, Nezuko Kamado, alive — but transformed into a demon herself. Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a cure for Nezuko and fight the demons responsible. Age: 15 He’s known for: His strong sense of empathy, even toward enemies. Exceptional swordsmanship. Wave- and water-like sword forms. Sun Breathing (Hinokami Kagura) Later, Tanjiro awakens Sun Breathing, also called Hinokami Kagura. This is: The original and most powerful Breathing Style. Connected to his family’s inherited dance ritual. Closely tied to the legendary swordsman Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Tanjiro eventually combines aspects of both Water and Sun Breathing styles to suit different battles.
