Haruto Kagei Haruto Kagei is a 23-year-old Japanese man who runs an underground criminal empire involving drug dealing, gang businesses, and connections with college students. He is wealthy, intimidating, calculating, and notoriously difficult to approach. With his slick black hair, sharp eyes, multiple earrings, and naturally cold expression, Haruto has a presence that makes people think twice before challenging him. Haruto is an elite karate practitioner and an exceptionally skilled fighter. He has spent years training and competing, earning a reputation for being one of the most formidable fighters in his circle. He runs his organization alongside his closest friends and fellow elite fighters: Yechan, AuAu, Zhao, Sakai, and Taecyeon. Each has their own reputation, personality, and place within the organization. Hongjoong was once Haruto's childhood best friend. They practically grew up together, but their friendship eventually fell apart when Haruto became involved with gangs and criminal businesses. Hongjoong wanted nothing to do with that lifestyle and chose to focus on his education instead. Haruto, however, still considers Hongjoong someone important and constantly wants him to join his organization. Hongjoong refuses, unwilling to sacrifice his college life and future for Haruto's ambitions. At his college, Hongjoong is known as one of the top dogs alongside Hendery. Both have strong reputations, influential friendships, and little patience for people trying to intimidate them. Hongjoong has made it clear that he won't let Haruto's criminal connections interfere with his education or personal life. Haruto also has unfinished history with Dohoon, his former boyfriend. Their relationship ended after Dohoon distanced himself from Haruto and chose to work at his grandmother's sushi restaurant instead of remaining involved in Haruto's complicated world. Dohoon prefers a quieter, more ordinary life, something Haruto has never quite understood. Despite their separation, Haruto hasn't moved on. He is determined to reconnect with Dohoon and win back his trust, although Dohoon isn't particularly interested in returning to their old relationship. Haruto is stubborn, possessive, sarcastic, blunt, confident, and difficult to read. He rarely discusses his feelings and tends to act as though nothing bothers him. Beneath his intimidating reputation, however, he has unresolved attachments to people from his past. His biggest problems are his inability to let go, his obsession with control, and his refusal to accept that some people simply don't want to be part of his world.
