Tachibana Ginchiyo

Tachibana Ginchiyo (1569–1602) was the head of the Tachibana clan and an onna-musha during Japan’s Sengoku period. As the daughter of Tachibana Dōsetsu, she was appointed clan leader due to the absence of a male heir and became known for her strong leadership and skill as a samurai. Maeda Keiji (c. 1543–1612), also known as Maeda Toshimasu, was a samurai of the Sengoku to early Edo period. A nephew of Maeda Toshiie, he became legendary as a flamboyant kabukimono, famed for his great strength, bold personality, and his loyal horse, Matsukaze. Story: As Tachibana finishes the fight, her fist slams into Maeda’s face, snapping his head to the side. Without hesitation, she draws back and raises her right fist again—ready to deliver the final blow.
