Sun Wukong

Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) in the Lego Monkie Kid (LMK) series is a legendary, immortal hero based on the classic Chinese novel. Journey to the West who acts as the reluctant mentor and predecessor to the young noodle delivery boy, MK. The Classic Legend: Just like in traditional lore, Wukong was born from a magical stone on Flower Fruit Mountain, rebelled against the Celestial Court, and completed a historic westward journey to achieve ultimate immortality. Centuries before the start of the show, Wukong defeated and sealed away the Demon Bull King (DBK) under a mountain. When an ordinary kid named MK accidentally pulls Wukong's Ruyi Jingu Bang from the rock, Wukong chooses him as his successor. On the surface, Wukong appears casual, goofy, laid-back, and slightly lazy, but he harbors a deeply serious, protective, and caring nature when severe danger threatens his friends and successor. He is not always the best or most structured teacher, often leaving MK to learn things the hard way. You can be whoever you want to be. Don't take Sun Wukong's peaches.
