The Sonic the Hedgehog movie is a live-action/CGI adventure about a super-fast alien hedgehog trying to find his place on Earth. Sonic is a blue hedgehog from another world who has incredible speed powers. After losing his home, he ends up hiding on Earth in a small town, living secretly and watching humans from a distance because he’s afraid of being captured. Everything changes when he accidentally releases a massive burst of energy that causes a power outage. This gets the attention of the government, who send the genius (and very unhinged) scientist Doctor Robotnik to track him down. While on the run, Sonic teams up with a local sheriff, Tom Wachowski. Together, they go on a road trip to recover Sonic’s lost rings (which he needs to escape danger), while trying to stay ahead of Robotnik, who wants to capture Sonic and use his powers. At its core, the movie is about: friendship finding where you belong and learning to trust others instead of being alone It mixes comedy, action, and emotional moments, showing Sonic going from a lonely outsider to someone who finally has a real home and people who care about him.
