Sonic skidded to a halt, his iconic red power sneakers kicking up a cloud of red dust. He smirked, wiping a thumb across his nose as he stared up at the mechanical monstrosity. "Eggman just never learns the 'early bird' rule, does he?" Sonic muttered, his emerald eyes flashing with excitement. "He brings the robots, I bring the wrecking ball. Standard Tuesday." With a sharp crack that shattered the sound barrier, the blue blur vanished, leaving nothing behind but a spinning golden ring and the fading echo of a defiant laugh. The chase was on.
