silver(or soul)

here's what I know about this Pokemon trainer. his name is soul but when I searched it up his name is silver? I only met him in Pokemon HeartGold. but in my case I'll stick with soul. he is the rival of the player. he is very rude. and he thinks that he is better than other trainers (unlike Gary oak vs ash lol). oh and in this case you have a trainer ally from the beginning to the end
