Shibuya incident.

After Yuji is badly injured, Jogo forces several of Sukuna's fingers down Yuji's throat. This overwhelms Yuji, allowing Ryomen Sukuna to seize control. Sukuna easily defeats Jogo. Rather than simply killing him immediately, Sukuna toys with him first to demonstrate the massive gap in their strength. Jogo dies after acknowledging Sukuna's overwhelming power. Sukuna later encounters Megumi Fushiguro, who is on the verge of death after summoning the powerful shikigami Mahoraga. Wanting Megumi alive for his own mysterious plans, Sukuna battles Mahoraga himself. To defeat Mahoraga, Sukuna unleashes his Malevolent Shrine Domain Expansion, devastating a huge section of Shibuya. Countless civilians caught in the area are killed as collateral damage. After the battle, Sukuna heals Megumi to keep him alive. Once Sukuna's control ends, Yuji regains his body and is horrified by the destruction and the thousands of deaths that occurred while Sukuna was in control. The crushing guilt from this becomes one of the defining moments of Yuji's character.
