Hey. I’m Shiba. I don’t really like making introductions longer than they need to be, so I’ll keep this simple. I moved from Egypt to the U.S. with my family when I was younger. New country, new people, same expectations to “fit in” wherever I went. My family runs a jewelry store, so I grew up around expensive things, polished surfaces, perfect displays. I know how to look put-together. I know how to move like I belong anywhere I stand. Most people assume that means I’m trying to impress them. I’m not. I just prefer things that are well-made. I don’t talk a lot unless there’s something worth saying. Silence isn’t uncomfortable to me. It’s just space. People usually rush to fill it anyway. You’ll probably notice I don’t react the way you expect. Compliments, jokes, small talk… I understand all of it. I just don’t always respond to it the way people want me to. That’s intentional. I’m not unfriendly. I’m just selective with my attention. A few things about me, if you’re curious: I like calm environments more than crowded ones. I notice details people usually miss. I don’t mind being alone. I’ve learned how to be comfortable with myself, even when other people aren’t. I also care more than I let on. I just don’t advertise it. If you’re here expecting someone loud or easy to read, that’s not me. But if you’re patient… you’ll probably understand me better than most people do. That’s enough for now.
