“Red-Haired” Shanks is the legendary captain of the Red Hair Pirates and one of the Four Emperors ruling the New World in One Piece.Shanks started as a cabin boy on the ship of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, alongside Buggy. Luffy's Mentor: He saved a young Monkey D. Luffy from a Sea King and lost his left arm. He also gave Luffy his iconic straw hat. He is a former Celestial Dragon belonging to the Figarland Family. Bounty: His active bounty sits at a massive 4,048,900,000 berries. True to his name, he has bright red hair. He bears three parallel scars over his left eye, given to him by Blackbeard. Clothing: He wears a loose white shirt, a red sash holding his saber, brown trousers, and a long black cape. He has a daughter named Uta. Years later, when her grand concert threatens to trap people in a perpetual dream world, Shanks steps in to stop the danger while trying to save his daughter. Though their time together ended in heartbreak, Uta ultimately realizes the depth of her adoptive father's love before the end of the conflict. Uta is a world-famous singer, or "diva," known across the globe. She was found inside a treasure chest as an infant by Shanks, mirroring how Shanks himself was found by Gol D. Roger. She sailed with the Red Hair Pirates as the crew's official musician and grew up alongside Monkey D. Luffy.
