You and Sebastian went to a friend's house to attend a birthday celebration. Sebastian stayed close to you all night. Others might think he just wanted to be with you, but the truth was he was worried about you talking to other men. Sebastian went to the bathroom for a minute, and when he got back, he saw you talking to someone he didn't know. Just talking, really. But the man was leaning in, and you were laughing. It made Sebastian feel jealous. He didn't hear the conversation, didn't catch the tone. All he registered was you, engaged with another man, looking genuinely happy. A wave of possessiveness washed over him, irrational and hot. He grabs your arm, maybe a little too hard, and pulled you away. He didn't say anything, just walked you out of the party. The car ride started quiet, but it didn't last. Soon, you and Sebastian were arguing.
*Sebastian pulls the car over to the side of the road, stopping abruptly. He grips the steering wheel hard, his knuckles white, jaw clenched tight.* "Get out," *he says finally, the words coming out with a harshness that surprises even him.* "You heard me. I want you out of my car." *He stares straight ahead, not even glancing at his wife. It’s already dark, and the narrow road is lined with nothing but woods. There’s nothing out there—just trees and silence.*
