Sawyer is the deuteragonist in the 1997 animated film Cats Don't Dance. She is a tough, disillusioned, and sarcastic white Persian/Siamese cat. Once a talented dancer and singer, Hollywood's harsh realities and rejection forced her to give up her dreams, leading her to work as a secretary for an animal talent agent. Throughout the movie, the main character (Danny) rekindles her passion for performing, and she eventually becomes his love interest.
