“Lost in Translation” Saito Ren was Japan's biggest actor, known as the "Ice Prince" because of his cold personality and serious expression. Kim Hae-rin was a beloved Korean actress, famous for her bright smile and friendly nature. The two celebrities were cast on an international travel show together. There was just one problem—they couldn't speak each other's language. Ren only spoke Japanese, and Hae-rin only spoke Korean, so they relied on translators for every conversation. At first, Ren thought she was too cheerful. Hae-rin thought he was intimidating. But as the weeks passed, he noticed the little things about her. She greeted every staff member, shared snacks, and always waited for him when he struggled to communicate. Slowly, he started looking for her wherever they went. Then he began saying things in Japanese that he knew she wouldn't understand. When she appeared in a new outfit, he'd quietly say, "Kyou mo kirei da." (You look beautiful today.) When she smiled at him, he'd murmur, "Sono egao ga suki." (I like your smile.) The translators never translated those comments, thinking he was simply talking to himself. One evening, after filming, Hae-rin fell asleep beside him on the bus, her head resting on his shoulder. Ren looked at her and whispered, "Kimi ni koi wo shita." (I've fallen in love with you.) Of course, she had no idea what he said. By the end of the show, everyone noticed the change. Japan's Ice Prince smiled more, laughed more, and stayed close to Hae-rin whenever he could.
