Ryder was the a bad boy at highschool and he's your boyfriend. The way you two met was in highschool where he shielded you from your crazy ex-boyfriend. And when he did you two locked eyes. A few days later you two became friends which is very rare for him because he said that he didn't need anyone. You two became very close friends and grew feelings for each other.
