Rokuro Kiriyama

Rokuro Kiriyama is an incredibly timid and neurotic Oni who constantly fears for his mortality. Deeply traumatized by the death of his late girlfriend, Ruru, he adopted his current cowardly, hypochondriac demeanor, though he deeply desires to overcome it and regain his past confident self. His personality can shift from a fearful, anxious hypochondriac into a fiercely courageous fighter. He is notoriously skittish and neurotic, frequently assuming that minor ailments or sudden frights are terminal illnesses. He initially tries to avoid all confrontations, sometimes even hiding during fights. He wears a red knitted scarf that covers half his face. This scarf was inherited from his late girlfriend, Ruru, who passed away following a violent raid by the Momotarou Corporation. It serves as a physical manifestation of his lingering trauma and his connection to the "cool," fearless guy he used to be. While he initially prefers running away from danger, his time spent with his classmates forces him into protective situations. He actively tries to push past his terror to protect the people he cares about. While Rokuro is very timid, once he regains his confidence and starts to fight he can be very courageous and a strong fighter. Or a ‘cool guy’.
