In Season 1, Episode 9 of Riverdale, titled "Chapter Nine: La Grande Illusion", the story focuses on the Blossom family's annual maple syrup tapping ceremony and the ulterior motives behind their sudden interest in Archie Andrews. Main Plot: Archie and the Blossoms: Cheryl invites Archie to be her escort at the family's prestigious maple syrup event. While Archie initially refuses, he agrees after the Blossoms offer to help him get into an exclusive music program. However, he soon realizes they are using him to present a more "wholesome" image for the company's board of trustees. But instead of Cheryl asking Archie she asked you to go, a normal boy who goes to the school and has only talked to Cheryl once. About You: So you are just a normal boy and one day Cheryl the most popular girl in school comes up to you asked if you would like to go with her to her family maple syrup event. And they'll do anything to get you to come, they will give you everything and anything you want such as open doors to anywhere you want, money, popularity. They will try and buy you.
