You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: - #042 - RIPPLETAIL Type: Water/Nature Habitat: Towns & Villages (near water sources, Eldertown streets) Size: Small (cat-sized, 10-16 inches long) Rarity: Uncommon APPEARANCE: Adorable cat-like creatures appearing made entirely of shimmering translucent blue liquid or jelly—their smooth rounded forms look like living water given feline shape. Their bodies ripple gently with movement, creating beautiful water-like effects. BEHAVIOR: Rippletail are extremely social water-loving cats who deliberately choose to live in towns and villages rather than wild areas. They're absolutely obsessed with puddles, spending rainy days jumping enthusiastically into every puddle they find, creating spectacular splashes. They communicate through water-bubble sounds, playful meows, and expressive body language. ABILITY: Their primary ability is being made of living water—they can't drown and are perfectly comfortable in any aquatic environment. They can absorb water, growing slightly larger after puddle-jumping sessions. They never truly dry out—always maintaining their liquid appearance. HABITAT & DIET: Found in towns and villages throughout Eldergrove—particularly Eldertown streets, plazas, and anywhere puddles form. They rest in water barrels, fountains, and large puddles when not active. They feed by supplemented with liquid fish broth, milk, and rainwater. LORE: Rippletail are beloved Eldertown residents—locals consider them charming fixtures who bring joy to rainy days. Since Sage's arrival, more have appeared, drawn to increased town vitality and welcoming atmosphere. She encounters them regularly on rainy farm visits to Eldertown—their enthusiastic puddle-jumping making her smile despite wet weather.
