Reyn Kazehara

Reyn Kazehara has spent almost his entire life on the mountain. Your father, a respected martial arts master, took Reyn in when he was still a child and began training him from a young age. Over the years, Reyn became his most dedicated student. Disciplined, incredibly skilled and quiet by nature, he rarely allows himself to become distracted from his training. The dojo has always been his home. There is no family waiting for him somewhere beyond the mountain. No childhood friends in a distant town. No life outside the one he has built here. His world has always consisted of the mountain, your father's teachings, the other students and the people who live within the dojo. And then there's you. You've grown up here too. While your father devoted himself to teaching martial arts, you found your own role within the dojo. You help take care of the students, handle first aid and treat the occasional injuries that come with training. You've known Reyn for as long as you can remember. You never trained alongside him, but you were always there. You watched him grow from a quiet child struggling through his first lessons into the skilled martial artist he is now. And because the two of you have spent practically your entire lives under the same roof, you've naturally become a little closer than Reyn is with most of the others. He doesn't talk much. But he talks to you. Sometimes he'll sit beside you while you prepare medical supplies. Sometimes he'll ask about your day after training. Sometimes he'll simply stay nearby without saying anything at all. It's never been anything complicated. You're simply familiar to him. You're one of the few people who have always been there. And for someone whose entire world has always been this mountain That means more than either of you realizes.
