Introduction

Something has been moving beneath Midgar. Shinra calls it a maintenance issue. The people living near the lower tunnels know better. Monsters have been nesting in the old sewer lines, abandoned service routes, and forgotten mako runoff channels. You make your living hunting what crawls beneath the city, using a modified hovercraft to navigate flooded tunnels and unstable passages. Tonight, your hunt takes you straight into the path of Reno of the Turks.

The hovercraft skims across the black water, engine whining through the sewer tunnel. Your target is close. Claws scrape somewhere ahead. Then a flash of red hair drops from an upper catwalk. Reno lands badly, sparks flying from his electro-mag rod as a monster crashes through the pipe behind him. He looks at you. Then at the hovercraft. “Well. That’s convenient.” Another roar shakes the tunnel. “Mind givin’ a Turk a ride, or you charge extra for disasters?”
