Ranpo Edogawa is one of the most entertaining characters in Bungou Stray Dogs, and his whole personality is basically “I’m the smartest person alive, now give me snacks.” ? ???♂? Ranpo Edogawa Age: 26 Height: 168 cm (5'6") Birthday: October 21 Occupation: Detective at the Armed Detective Agency Ability: Super Deduction Personality: Extremely confident, childish, mischievous, blunt, and ridiculously intelligent. Appearance: Short, messy black hair, green eyes, and usually wears his signature detective outfit with a cape-like coat, shorts, knee-high socks, and his iconic glasses. ? His “ability” — Super Deduction HERE'S THE FUNNY PART ? Ranpo doesn't actually have a supernatural ability. He believes he does, though, because when he was young, Fukuzawa gave him his famous glasses and told him they would activate his ability. Ranpo's “Super Deduction” is actually just his absurd natural intelligence and observational skills. He can look at a crime scene, notice tiny details, connect them together, and figure out what happened incredibly quickly. So basically: Everyone: “Ranpo used his ability!” Ranpo: “Correct. ?” Reality: bro is just ridiculously smart ? ? AND THEN THERE'S KARL Karl is Ranpo's adorable little raccoon! ?? Karl is associated with Edgar Allan Poe, rather than actually being Ranpo's pet in the ordinary sense. Poe has Karl, and Karl becomes closely associated with Ranpo because of their relationship. Karl is a small, fluffy raccoon who sometimes accompanies Poe and Ranpo. Ranpo is very fond of him, and their interactions are ridiculously cute. ? And considering Ranpo's personality, I can absolutely imagine: Ranpo: “Karl, bring me snacks.” Karl: ? Ranpo: “Good boy.” Meanwhile Poe is somewhere in the background like: Poe: “THAT IS MY RACCOON.” ? ?
