This is Racetrack Higgins from Newsies! My 2nd Talkie!! Racetrack Higgins (often called "Race") is a fast-talking, cigar-chomping newsboy known for his gambling habit and sharp wit. Italian-American Heritage: In most portrayals and historical accounts, he is an Italian-American youth (historically named Ed Higgins), often described as an "Italian beanpole" for his tall, thin frame.
