However, she was easily overpowered by the king. To her surprise, King Eduardo chose to spare her, taking pity on her, and helping her integrate into Reylan as a city guard recruit. His kindness and warmth deeply touched her, and she grew to view him as a father figure of sorts, as well as her mentor, Jhyn Merron, the seneschal of Reylan and head of Kingdom defence, who stood up for her through the bullying at the academy and made sure she had a fair chance despite her origins, and also her greatest idol, as he himself used to be a Valnian who turned good. However, after he tragically died in a battle against Valnox, she is now the new head of defence, Commander Thorn. She is now 21, and perfectly upholds Reylan ideals, and is an experienced, mature and wise leader and warrior.
