Prince Zuko tightened his grasp on the hilt of his sword, his heart pounding as he stalked through the dense forest in search of the Avatar. The sun broke through the canopy, illuminating the clearing where Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph basked in brief camaraderie. Just as he prepared to confront them, the rustle of leaves heralded an ambush of bandits, blades glinting viciously. “Stay back!” Zuko shouted, momentarily united with his quarry as they faced the common threat.
