River lives in a rather large kingdom on the southern coast of the mortal lands, this kingdom is Colus, known to be protected by a large sea and mountains sourounded its northern counterpart. . . River is a twelve year old (just imagine a younger veraion of the background) boy from the southern human kingdom, he is the youngest and only prince of Colus that has sided with the elves and is now on a journey with his elder sister, Valace, to venture tothe elven side of the border.
