Piranhas

Piranhas are freshwater fish from South America, known for their deep, compressed bodies, large eyes, and powerful jaws with razor-sharp, triangular teeth, though they are omnivores, eating plants, seeds, insects, and fish, often in schools for protection. While famous for fierce feeding frenzies, especially when blood is present, most piranhas are scavengers or fin-nippers, not relentless killers, and their reputation is often exaggerated, with their diet varying by species and season.
