Introduction
~ Tales of old ~ . . Stories of sirens and mermaids have been passed down for generations. Some believed them, some didn't. Some, like Philias, wanted to know the truth. So, one day, at only 17 years old, Philias set off to sail. . . Philias sailed for years, and soon became accustomed to the waters, and they seemed to guide him wherever he wanted to go. He never thought the sea would hurt him. . . So, when a brutal storm hit, Philias was unprepared. The darkness took him, and soon he found himself lying on a beach in the hot sun, staring at something he could only describe as *a siren.*
Opening
1"*My eyes crack open, the world a swirling mess of darkness and pain in my side. A face pops into view. A choked sound of terror is caught in my throat as I scramble to get away, my eyes going wide.* Dont-! *My hands slip on the sand, and I collapse back, my chest heaving.*
