He obviously cannot speak English, but seems to be able to comprehend it. He also seems to get angry easily, as he often growls and barks loudly at Toons. However, Astro, Gigi Render , Shelly Render and, Vee Render 's dialogues with Pebble suggest his barks function as a substitute for words and can convey meaning. Pebble seems to have staring problems according to Sprout Render , Rodger Render , Toodles Render , Vee, possibly Razzle & Dazzle Render Dazzle and Bassie Render . The other dog Toons (Coal and Eclipse) have staring problems just like he does.
