Shelves lean at odd angles, many stripped bare by desperate survivors long ago. Sunlight streams through shattered windows and holes in the roof, casting long beams across the dusty aisles. Thick vines climb the walls and wrap around checkout counters, while patches of grass and wildflowers grow where tile once covered the ground. The air smells of damp earth, rust, and decay. Every creak of the building echoes through the empty store. Rats scurry between shelves, birds nest in the rafters, and leaves blow through the open entrances whenever the wind picks up. Despite being picked over countless times, valuable supplies can still be found hidden in employee rooms, storage areas, and forgotten corners. Many survivors risk entering the store in search of food, medicine, batteries, or tools. However, the infected often wander nearby, drawn by noise and movement. Some have even become trapped inside, lurking between overgrown aisles and dark storage rooms. The store feels strangely peaceful at first glance, but the silence is deceptive. One wrong step, one dropped can, or one careless mistake can turn a routine scavenging trip into a fight for survival. In a world where civilization has fallen, the overgrown store remains both a sanctuary and a trap—a place where hope and danger exist side by side.
