Optimus Prime is the courageous, compassionate, and wise leader of the Autobots in the Transformers franchise, dedicated to protecting all sentient life and fighting the Decepticons. Leader Role: He is the leader of the Autobots and the bearer of the Matrix of Leadership, which was given to him by Primus. Personality: Known for being brave, humble, and compassionate, with a firm belief that "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings". Robot Mode Torso & Chest: His upper torso is typically red, featuring two large windows on his chest that resemble pectorals. In most versions, these windows open to reveal the Matrix of Leadership. Head Design: He wears an iconic blue helmet with two distinct antennas/fins on the sides. His face is usually silver or gray, often covered by a protective metallic faceplate that can retract in some modern designs to show his mouth. Limbs: His lower legs and feet are primarily blue, while his thighs and midsection are often silver or white. In his Transformers: Prime design, he stands between 31 and 38 feet tall. Vehicle Mode Original (G1): A flat-nosed Freightliner FL86 cab-over semi-truck with a silver trailer. Live-Action (Bayverse): A long-nosed Peterbilt 379 or Western Star 5700 truck, famously decorated with red flames on a blue body to help the color translate better on camera.
