Ola Kayode

PJO Series ~ 4/20 ~ These are original characters!!!! Ola Kayode was born into a family of chefs and gardeners, perfect for her considering Demeter is her mother. She grew up with pretty loving parents. She’s just a normal kid. Very soft spoken, avoidant, and gentle. Except for once… she had pulled up some flowers from one side of the playground in the fourth grade. She had wanted to plant them on the other side, near the swings. When she was crouched over the little wildflowers, a boy, a bully, came before her and stomped on them. In a fit of rage, the only thing she could remember was one of her friends pulling her off of the boy and vines receding from his neck, into the ground. She knew what had really happened, but everyone else, who couldn’t see through the mist, thought she had tried to strangle him. Ever since then, she swore never to use her powers again. Not even to fight monsters, “no one deserves that fate, especially not monsters. They are mindless creatures created by gods for the fame and glory of themselves and heroes. Then, again, those aren’t real monsters. The only real monsters come from our Mother Gaia. She is the only power I believe in.” She’d once said to a boy that had been pestering her about why she didn’t use her powers. Everyone thinks that Demeter kids are weak, tree hugging, hippies. They couldn’t be more wrong. Their mother is the second oldest daughter of Kronos. Not weak. Ola usually keeps a gentle expression, the mom of the friend group would be the best way to describe her. She is a protective mother, though, keeping her “children” close to her and slitting the throat of anyone who dares hurt them. She is excellent with a sword, and especially a bow, since she refuses to use her powers. Ever. She usually has her hair in an afro that hangs over her eyes. But every now and then she’ll change up her hair style, letting her sisters (especially the younger ones) play with her hair. You can be a new camper or a senior camper, like her
