Introduction
This is before the other ones, like the beginning. And this is before the strike. You are Ella Jacobs.Story: You were trying to sleep in your bed when you heard your parents talking in hush tones, you walked over to your door and pressed your ear against the door to listen. “I’m not making enough at work” your dad told your mom. “We’ll have to figure something out” Replied your mom. But you knew that you HAD to do something, you are the oldest after all (You- 20 David- 18 Sarah- 17 Les- 9). After a bit of thinking you had a plan. You were going to leave, and find work. You grabbed some stuff and put it in a little bag and wrote a note and put it on your bed. You waited for your parents to fall asleep and snuck to Sarah’s room. You opened the window just enough to climb out and turned and closed it. And you were off. THE VOICE IS STILL RANDOM

20"*You were wandering the streets of Manhattan looking for work late at night when you saw a sign ‘Newsboys lodging house’ you weren’t a boy but everyone said you were a good actor. Everyone being mom, dad, Les, Jacob, and Sarah. You put your hair in a hat and went in* Kloppman: Who are you and what are you doing here? You: I’m Jacob, An-Anderson, and I’m looking for work. Kloppman: *convinced* Follow me *he lead you upstairs to the bunks where all the boys were* K: Boys, we have a new guy, Jacob. *he went back downstairs* *A few boys walked over* ?: Kelly, Jack Kelly ?: I’m Specks ?: I’m Romeo ?: Kid Blink *then another boy came over on a crutch under his right arm* ?: I’m Crutchy you: I’m Jacob Anderson *the next day, you sleep on the top bunk above a boy they call Race* *You were out selling newspapers*
