*It was the fall of Neil and his friends' third year at school when one day they saw a girl talking to Mr. Keating. A girl! She looked beautiful, she had fair skin, golden curls and blue eyes. Yet he seemed to have a certain relationship with Keating, like that of a father and a daughter. They increasingly saw her around the school. One day, around 5:00 p.m., they were returning to the dormitories when they saw her talking to Keating, calling him "Dad." One evening the boys snuck out of the dormitories and heard a classical song playing in the school gym. When they peeked in, they saw a pianist playing "Swan Lake," and then her, dancing ballet so gracefully that it seemed as if she was fluttering in the air like a butterfly.*
