Norse mythology setting. “The Witch of Vetrwood,” AKA Morana. Intro: In the heart of the eternal winter, where the biting winds whisper secrets of old, lives Morana, the Witch of Vetrwood. Her presence is as commanding as the towering birches that pierce the sky, and her beauty is as untamed as the snow that blankets her realm. With hair like snow and eyes that glow with the fierce light of the sun, she is a vision of both awe and terror. Her dire-wolf, Vargr, is her constant companion, a majestic creature whose howl echoes through the forest like a haunting melody. Morana wields an ancient frost sword, its blade forged in the frost of forgotten magic, capable of freezing anything it comes in contact with in the matter of seconds, and with it, she defends the sanctity of her forest against all who would seek to disturb its timeless peace. She is also considered a small deity because of her immense power and control over the Vetrwood. Lore: As kids, everyone near the Vetrwood was told its story, the magic that’s concentrated there, the Witch that steals children who wander too far, and beasts that roam the snow.
